Well, Culinary school is over! I thought that I would be ecstatic....... Don't get me wrong, I am so happy, but a part of me is a little sad. I met some wonderful people and great friends that I am really going to miss. We became this great big family.... so it's a little sad. It seemed like it was never going to end, during that first month, but the last couple of months flew by. I can't believe it is over. I finished my externship on Friday. I was training under Chef Patrice Calliot, who might I add, is a World Pastry Champion. I learned so much there and am so grateful I was able to learn from him. He is an awesome Chef! I just thought I would show you some pictures from the last day we were physically in the school on the day of "Glory Walk". I can't believe I am a Chef. Crazy, Never would have thought that. One thing is, I am glad that I will be able to spend some needed time with my family now that school is over. I am so grateful to them for thier patience while I was earning my degree.

Congratulations Melissa! What a huge accomplishment. I want to be like you when I grow up, setting goals & attaining them too! Seriously inspiring!! I'm glad your family was so great about it, too. Hey, you wanna come make us something yummy for dinner??
Thanks Holly! I missed you guys a couple weeks ago. I would love to cook you something, just let me know.
Awesome job on the GPA and graduating! I'm glad to see that you are blogging again. Cute cookies too! Happy Ney Year!
You Go Girl! What a fantastic slide show of your chef family! I am sure they felt the same way on graduation day. With every good end to a chapter in your life, it opens the door to write another great chapter with some characters staying the same. I am grateful I have been able to see you close that chapter. Happy New Year!
Wow, Kendal is so insightful!
Congrats! I know you worked hard and you're such a great chef. I think it's perfect for you. Too bad you have to wait so long to have the graduation ceremony though.
