Over Labor Day Weekend

We took the advice of my friend Becky and her blog and went to Lagoon, it's near Salt Lake City, Utah. Mckenzee and I had never been and Kevin has been once, when he was like 2. We went not knowing what to really expect. We wanted to do something for Mckenzee's birthday, instaed of a party, and we really wanted to get a way for the long weekend. I have to say, I am glad we choose Utah and not California. Our drive was long, but we were not stuck in a traffic jam, the longest line we stood in was maybe 15 minutes, and it was so cheap, well compared to a week end in Cali! Mckenzee is finally tall enough to go on all the rides! She was so excited. She is quite the dare devil. She was especially excited that she finally could go on the rocket blaster, aka the big shot. When I asked her if she really wanted to go on it she said, " I have waited my whole life for this. I am definately going!".At the end of the day, before we left we played some carnival games and Mckenzee won a big pink dog proudly! We stayed in downtown Salt Lake. It was beautiful there and the weather was so nice. On Sunday, before coming home, we walked around Temple Square. It so peaceful there and Mckenzee was so interested in the history there. We are planning to take her back and do some tours and watch the movies.
We had such a great time and Mckenze even thinks is was worth not having a party!

Kevin was two timing on Waldameer! I think I'll have to tell his grandma.

I have never been there either but it looks like fun! Glad you guys were able to get away.

It sounds like a great time! We were at Temple Square on Monday before driving home...and got almost the same picture of the Temple. That is neat that our paths were so close to crossing.

Melissa! HAHAHAHA No way! What in the world have you been up to? Seriously, I recognized your face in like 2 seconds because you look exactly the same as you did like 12 years ago! How crazy! Unbelievable that your kid is that old now! Ok, that does it. You are officially one of my blog friends.
